I tried eating in a few vegetarian hotels in Kumbakonam. But this one is by far the best. It is located adjacent to the temple and is always crowded. As a result table service gets delayed. The south indian dishes are authentic and good. Try some of it served hot. Finding a car park is practically not possible and so plan accordingly.

The hotel Gowri Krishna is best vegetarian restaurant in Kumbakonam Town. This is located near somesar temple. The Morning Breakfast items like Idly,pongal vadai,poori,All type of Dosai available and taste. The rates are reasonable. Heavy traffic in the road. Vechicle parking is difficult one. No,parking area available.
